Company develops pressure bar servo head technology.
1990 -
Company develops threaded stepdown chucks, heavy-duty linear "wide
contact" backup rolls, and floating pressure bars.
1975 - Calvert
leaves Coe and starts Calvert Manufacturing in Longwood,
Florida.
1962 - Calvert
liquidated Calvert Machine and Preston Woodworking and became a
consultant in development and troubleshooting for Coe.
1958 - Calvert
buys Preston Woodworking Machinery of Preston, Ontario, Can.
1948 - Calvert
designs and patents the first hydraulic pushbutton riderless
carriage, called the Super-Swede.
1946 - Harry
"Bud" Calvert moves to Boring, Ore. and starts Calvert Machine
Service as a one-man machine and welding shop, working mostly in the
sawmill trade.
